Horror in a Flash:

 

I’ve recently started circulating some of my horror around and now I’m adding it to the site. I wrote this flash horror piece a couple of days ago. If you think it’s disturbing, well thank you, it’s horror and it’s supposed to be :) . Forget the fireworks. When Shelley and Ray met across a high stakes poker table, it was more like an atom bomb. Their intense and immediate attraction to each other destroyed the carefully constructed and managed  lives both A type personalities. Neither were prepared for the consequences.
 
Fast forward two years, the independent and hard-shelled, Shelley has tried to forget Raymond. But when tragedy strikes, there's no one left, no one at all she can turn to... She calls him, but old insecurities set in, and she falls into old habits. She can't tell him she needs him.
 
Exasperated that Shelley would contact him after so long with the exact same hang-ups--never expressing how she feels for him, pretending like the feelings don’t run deep--Ray tries to leave it alone, but he can't. He has to find out why she's made contact out of the blue, only to say nothing. 
wants, she's going to have to ask for what she needs. 
When he sees her again all bets are off. Ray has to have her, but for once, she needs him more than he needs her. For once, she's going to have to ask for what she wants.
